Every item is hand-crafted
Every Woolly Woofer and Pocket Pup is handmade by me. No machines, no prefabrication, just my own two hands and a crochet needle. Read a little more about me below, if you’d like to.
UK-based craft, UK-based wool
As well as making every item from my home in West Sussex, I order all my yarn from Wool Warehouse, an independent, family-owned, UK-based wool supplier.
High-quality, super-soft Chenille wool
As someone who is neurodivergent and highly sensitive to touch, I’m very selective about the yarn I use. Chenille yarn is a super soft, fuzzy yarn made by twisting short fibres between two core strands, giving it a velvety texture. It’s beloved by crocheters for plushies and blankets due to its softness and thickness.
Distinctive, one-of-a-kind designs
No two Woofers or Pups are the same! Even when crocheting breeds with fewer varying features, such as golden retrievers, the final product is always distinct from the last. Add in customisable markings and colours, and you get an endless menagerie of potential designs!
Tested for durability
The Woofers and Pups have both been tested to within an inch of their fuzzy existence. Samples have completed pull tests on their eyes and noses, stress tests on the limb seams, and compression tests to ensure they keep their shape.
Don’t worry – your new companions get away with a lighter production pass, and aren’t subjected to the gruelling trials that the samples go through!

Incredible talent and so realistic! I am absolutely in love with the crocheted dogs Katie made for us. They look identical to our real dogs! They are beautifully crafted, incredibly realistic, and bring us so much joy. All in all, just a fantastic experience!

Katie has made me a large crochet model of my lovely Bedlington, Jasmine and I love it especially now that Jasmine is no longer with us. Tiger, my Norwich Terrier, was my first pet and I love the crochet model of him made by Katie.

Crocheting your companions

Stage 1
Planning
I use this time to get to know your dog. Studying their shape, markings, and other distinguishing features, I’ll prepare how to capture their likeness in crochet form.
I start by looking at the pictures of your dog and of the breed, to familiarise myself with the shaping of the head and ears.
Then comes the fun part – selecting the wool to best match the colouring of your pet.

Stage 2
Crafting
Every Woolly Woofer and Pocket Pup begins their life as a ball of Chenille yarn in the same room.
Each ear, leg, head, body, and tail are hand-stitched individually, usually with Milo keeping me company.

Stage 3
Detailing
After your companion is put the together, the details can begin. At this stage, the little spots, markings, stripes are added, turning your companion from a standard dog into your own special companion.
I match your companion multiple times against your photographs to ensure that the markings and distinctive features of your pet have been captured.

Stage 4
Quality check
I think of this as the most important stage – I would not want to send you anything that wouldn’t be on display in my own home!
I check the stitching of the limbs, the alignment of the head and body, and that all ends have been tied securely and hidden away.
Finally, they’re given the “hug test” to make extra sure that they are ready to be loved in their new forever home, before packaging them up to send to you.

About us
Hello, I’m Katie. I’m neurodivergent, I have a Tibetan Terrier called Milo, and I make everything here at Milo & Me!
I began Milo & Me in 2025, inspired by a simple dream: to bring my two passions of dogs and crochet to fellow dog and crochet lovers.
Exploring the West Sussex countryside with Milo, followed by cosy afternoons crocheting together, was the starting point of Milo & Me.
As our house slowly filled with what we would call Woolly Woofers, family and friends took notice and asked for custom creations they could treasure on their own.
What began as a hobby spiralled into an enterprise – we now ship Woolly Woofers everywhere from Inverness to Dungeness!
Today, Milo & Me is dedicated to creating beautifully handcrafted, custom crochet companions with care, quality, and attention to detail.
